OFDAR (Organization For Development And African Relief) is a Canadian registered Charity which supports local organizations in Africa, and the communities they work with to take a lead in bringing about sustainable social and economic improvements within their communities.

Our vision is a world where everyone has access to safe drinking water, has food to eat every day, and basic healthcare. Our aim is to impact one life at a time. Whilst changing one life will not change the world, it will change the life for one person. Our long-term vision is to diversify OFDAR across Africa.

The UN has pledged to “leave no-one behind” and we’re committed to making it happen. That’s why we concentrate our efforts on those who face the most extreme inequalities; hard-to-reach individuals who are excluded and stigmatized not only by the state, but by their own communities.

Climate emergency, conflict and communicable disease outbreaks across Africa continue to bring hardship to vulnerable communities. In some parts of the continent, communities are facing three significant issues: food insecurity, displacement due to conflict and disease outbreaks.

We aims to alleviate poverty and promote sustainable development in developing nations across Africa. We wish to strengthen the capacity of local organisations and work with them to support communities and disadvantaged groups in Africa. Our goal is to fight poverty and its root causes through community-led initiatives and processes that lead to sustainable improvements in their economic & social well-being.
